Do Something Good is a unique system that allows volunteers to be recruited and managed for specific social events. The platform was created in June 2012 through a collaboration between myHarapan and Tandemic.
The primary problem it addresses is the lack of information about and access to volunteering opportunities faced by the local community. Growth of the volunteer base is slow as people primarily find out about opportunities through friends. On the other hand, social organisations have difficulty effectively recruiting and managing volunteers. Do Something Good goes beyond just volunteer recruitment: once volunteers have signed up, it acts as a volunteer management system helping the organizer select, delegate tasks to and manage the pool of volunteers.
The platform is has an extensive track record and to date has helped over 256 social purpose projects get connected to volunteers.
