Eats, Shoots & Roots is a social enterprise with a simple aim: to empower urban individuals and communities with skills and tools to grow their own food, and build a sense of resilience in the city. They offer a range of workshops and courses, edible garden design consultancy, and organic garden build packages to suit homes, organisations, institutions and businesses.
Shao-Lyn Low, Co-Founder/Creative Director
Shao-Lyn Low has been practicing Graphic Design for over 10 years. A few years after completing her MA in Graphic Design from the University of the Creative Arts, UK, she discovered Embun Pagi, and was awestruck by the little she knew about cultivating her own food, and our level of dependency on others for basic necessities. She has completed a Permaculture Design Course and is on a mission to increase food growing in the city.
Beatrice Yong, Strategy Director
Beatrice Yong graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manchester, UK, and an MSc in Management from Imperial College London. She has worked with international ad agency Ogilvy & Mather as a Brand Strategic Planner for over 4 years. Since she started growing food in her garden years ago, she has embarked on a lifelong journey to share and learn more about her food and where it comes from.
